AD9226

The AD9226 is a 12-bit, 65 MSPS analog-to-digital converter from ADI that uses a multistage pipelined architecture with an on-chip sample-and-hold amplifier and a voltage reference to digitize a fast single channel. The part provides a signal-to-noise ratio and a spurious-free dynamic range that suit an imaging, a communications or an instrumentation front end, and the on-chip reference plus the internal timing simplify the analog and the clock design. The true differential input reduces the effect of a common-mode disturbance, and the pipelined core keeps a good dynamic performance across the input frequency, so a designer can digitize a signal into the tens of megahertz. The outputs are a 12-bit parallel CMOS or a twos-complement style that connects directly to an FPGA or a processor, and the part runs from a single 5 V supply with a low power consumption for the sample rate. An out-of-range indicator and a clock duty-cycle stabilizer are included, which help a system that must detect an over-range event and stay stable across a clock variation.
