A Bench Built for Precision Analog

Applying a converter, an amplifier and a regulator correctly is as important as choosing the right parts, and because the accuracy depends on the noise, the offset and the power integrity together, the integration decides whether the equipment meets its specification. To support customers more effectively, BeiLuo has opened an FAE verification bench dedicated to ADI signal chains. The bench lets our engineers measure the noise, the offset and the power-supply rejection before a customer commits to a design, turning advice into evidence.

The bench complements the stock program announced in July. Where the stocking program answers the question of whether a part is available, the new bench answers the question of whether the parts will perform together in a specific application. Together they let BeiLuo support a design from selection through validation, rather than only at the point of sale.

What We Measure

The bench is equipped with a low-noise source, a precision multimeter, a dynamic-signal analyzer, a spectrum analyzer and a thermal chamber. Engineers measure the signal-to-noise and the total harmonic distortion of a converter, the input offset and the offset drift of an amplifier across temperature, the output noise and the power-supply rejection of a regulator and the residual ripple on an analog rail behind a switcher. For a multi-rail board the bench brings up the whole power tree and confirms the sequencing and the noise with the real load.

Noise and Offset

A low-noise source and a dynamic-signal analyzer give the noise and the distortion of the chain, and the thermal chamber sweeps the offset drift so we can confirm the DC accuracy over temperature. That turns a datasheet estimate into a measured number for the customer's own configuration.

Power-Supply Rejection

The bench injects a defined ripple onto a rail and measures how much reaches the load, so we can confirm whether a low-noise LDO such as the ADP7118 removes enough of the switcher ripple for a converter or a reference. That answers a power-integrity question before the board is built.

From Selection to Validation

When a customer asks which converter, amplifier or regulator suits their design, our FAE team can now validate the recommendation on the bench. We measure the noise and the offset, the distortion or the power-supply rejection, compare the result with the datasheet expectation and confirm the margin. The result is a design path backed by measured data, which reduces the risk of a late-stage surprise and shortens the path to a reliable design.

Thermal and EMC Validation

The bench can bring up a customer's board and confirm the efficiency, the junction temperature and the conducted emissions in one session, so the power and the EMC design are checked together rather than separately. That supports a product that passes the standard on the first attempt.

Working With the Team After the Bench

The engagement does not end when a prototype leaves the bench. Our FAE team follows the design into production, reviewing the noise and the grounding margins when a layout changes and confirming the part against the final load. If a field issue appears, the team reproduces it with the original test setup, compares the result and proposes a verified fix. Because each evaluation is recorded, a later revision can be checked against the baseline, which keeps the design stable across its life.

Supporting a Design End to End

The bench is a support tool rather than a certification house, and it is strongest when used early. A typical engagement starts with a selection question, moves to a bench check of the chosen parts under the customer's own conditions, and ends with a validated recommendation for the whole chain. Because BeiLuo holds the parts in regional stock, the validated chain can then move quickly to a sample and a production order within the same week. The result is a shorter path from an idea to a released board, with the performance of each stage measured rather than assumed and the documentation ready to ship alongside the parts.

How to Use the Bench

Customers can request a bench evaluation by sending their signal bandwidth, the required accuracy, the rails and the environment to the BeiLuo team. Our engineers will set up the test, measure the key parameters and share the results with a design recommendation. Because the bench and the stock program work together, a customer can validate a chain on the bench and then hold production stock within the same week. The bench is one more reason to treat BeiLuo as a technical partner for ADI products rather than a simple parts supplier.
